Made by Hand In Harmony With Nature

Natural Beauty Products by Estella Yeung
Welcome to Growing Blue Flowers, a business I started in 1999. I am of Chinese descent and was born and raised in Hong Kong. I also spent nine years in Europe, then came to the United States in 1984.
I became interested in the Native American culture and philosophy of life in the early 1990's. I was adopted into a Dakota family and started learning of the similarities between the Chinese and Native American cultures. Since that time, I have explored these similarities and combine both these backgrounds into my healing arts. There is an exchange taking place in that I also share what I know of the Chinese philosophy with my Native American friends and acquaintances.
I've always been interested in herbs. I collected "How-To" books and took a class on how to make natural lotions. This gave me the confidence to begin making my products to share with others. My friends became willing testers. My creativity and inspiration started me thinking of other products I would like, and my business has evolved. Everything I have learned about the healing properties of herbs from my background and the years spent in Europe can be intertwined with the Native American practice of using native plants for therapeutic purposes. I no longer separate my thoughts as being based on the Chinese or Native American ways, I now think of it as the universal way to live, living in harmony with Nature.
My products are 100% natural, even the preservative is a natural product. Many of the herbs I use are collected by me, others I purchase from reputable sources. When I have extracted the oils from the herbs, I return the herbs to the earth, to complete the cycle of life.
What started out as a hobby, has become my full-time job. I now make all natural soaps, lotions, salves, bath salts, body oils & sprays, hand sanitizer, lip balm and candles. I'm pleased that you have found my products and welcome any thoughts or suggestions you may have for my website.
